Willy Wonka continues to be a winning brand from Bally/Scientific Games with some versions more popular than others, although I’m happy to report that this latest version is a winner with great graphics, sounds, music and slot play!
Like many of the prior incarnations, there are certain similarities between each version although Dream Factory oddly lacks a random Oompa Loompa bonus featuring stacked wilds along with the Golden Ticket feature at the end of your bonus, although it has so many other features, I don’t feel you’ll be disappointed.
The Dream Factory Wheel Bonus is triggered by landing scattered bonus symbols for one spin of the wheel to award you one of the following:
1. Fudge Room: For each free game, between 1 and 3 wild symbols will randomly appear on reels 2, 3, and 4 and lock into place for the duration of the bonus. If one of the wilds lands on an existing locked wild, that position will increase its multiplier to a max of 5X.
2. Wonka Vision: This one is interesting where a special wild symbol may be placed on a reel at the beginning of each spin and if so, it will stretch or shrink to cover between 1 and 8 symbol positions. As each symbol is placed on the reel, it remains for the duration of the bonus.
3. The Juicer: For each free game, between 4 and 12 wild symbols are randomly placed on the reels.
4. You Get Nothing Bonus: 250x your total bet, Woohoo!
The Veruca Salt Re-Spin Feature is triggered by landing 8 or more Willy Wonka Symbols after which all of those symbols are locked into place and between 1 and 4 re-spins are then awarded with the potential to land more Willy Wonka symbols, although they do not lock into place.
The Jackpot Feature may be awarded(hah!) if you land one Watermark symbol on reel 1 or reel 5 although if land on both reels, you are guaranteed the feature where you then select symbols until you match 3 for a progressive. If you find a Wonka Bar, an additional Jackpot is awarded after you complete your first match.
As if that wasn’t enough, there are also scattered Jackpot Symbols and pays per the following pay table:
5 scattered: Top Jackpot at max bet else 1000 credits times total bet.
4 scattered: 100 credits times total bet.
3 scattered: 10 credits times total bet.
2 scattered: 2 credits times total bet.

Such a fun session! Still, I feel like this is not really my kind of game — you were getting some of the best screens possible with wilds and what-not, yet still were only winning like 10-20x your bet at best. Of course, you got a lot of 4x, 5x, 7x spins along with the 10x, 15x, and 20x spins in the bonus to end up with a decent win — but it's always feeling like it's going to be around 40-50x your bet, you know?
