Zombie Outbreak has three different bonuses: the Zombie Escape Bonus, the Infected Spin Bonus, and the Free Spin Outbreak Bonus:

Infected Spin Bonus: During any random spin, the reels may fill with red smoke and become infected and when this happens, all human symbols will become zombies and are Wild for other non-bonus symbols for one spin.

Free Spin Outbreak: This bonus is triggered by getting 3, 4, or 5 Free Spin Outbreak symbols and pays a scatter award of 2x, 20x, or 50x total and awards 5 free spins with the potential for retriggers although there is a 55 spin(!) cap! During this bonus, all human symbols become zombies and are Wild for other non-bonus symbols. The Zombie Escape Bonus symbol is absent from these bonus spins and an alternate reel set is used.

Zombie Escape Bonus: This bonus is triggered by getting three Zombie Escape bonus symbols in reels 3, 4, and 5 and is essentially a “pick” bonus where you annihilate a certain number of advancing zombies based on your choices: pistol(1), shotgun(3), machine gun(5), and flame thrower(all in two rows closest to exit). Any zombies you don’t shoot advance and will continue to do until they reach the exit or 11 rounds of zombies are destroyed and if you’re able to do that, victory is declared and you are awarded an additional 20x based on your total bet. Finally, certain picks will have 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers to increase your awards.
