If I remember my Mexican cultural history from college correctly, Tenochtitlan was the name of the Aztec capital city, and where the Spaniards came and found all that gold. Funny that although the natives knew there was value in the gold, because they used it in ceremonies and it was held pretty exclusively by the 'royal family' and important folks in the tribe, they didn't understand how much it could have helped them set up trade and actually expand their influence throughout the Americas. 🤷♂
