  1. This game's a Hoot. : ) In the base game, when the icons have an owl on them, they also appear in that bottom line that says Hoot Line on the left and x27 on the right. (It would have been less than x27 if you weren't betting so much.) So, if the Hoot Line is a winner, you get what it would normally pay times 27 — which can be pretty nice — plus what the lines on the 3×5 grid pay.
    The 3 safes give you a pick-em bonus. There's also a random progressive bonus. In it you pick safes and hopefully the credits shown will get you to the next level. (If you get enough copper credits, you move up to silver for instance.) The game tells you how much you need. The higher you go, the more you win. I hope that helps you understand a little. The game is fun. I used to play it all the time when my California NA casinos still had it.
